To see and hear Premek Kruta perform is an unforgettable multicultural experience.
Premek sings in English, Spanish, Italian, French, Latin, German, Hebrew, Yiddish, Greek, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Serbian, Bulgarian, Rumanian, Swedish, Japanese, Korean, Filipino, Maori, Slovak, Moravian and Czech.
His wireless technology lets him roam the room, with his guitar, to hone in on the heartland – whichever one it may be.

He has been a feature performer on the national TV broadcast “The Performers,” the renowned “Boo-Boo” television show in Montreal - and on Royal Viking Lines and Trans-Canal/Caribbean/Mexico Cruises. Premek has also been listed in the distinguished Canada Council's national catalogue of performing musicians.
“Language has always fascinated me,” says Premek. “And in my travels I learned songs from many countries and visited the folklorist sections of the libraries.”
He was classically trained at the Academy of Prague under the tutelage of renowned Czech classical guitar instructor, Professor Schelinger, as well as one of Prague's finest vocal teachers, Professor Pospisilik.
Premek left Communist Czechoslovakia to visit a family in Oslo, Norway for the summer holidays. He never returned to his homeland, but travelled to England, then immigrated to Canada.

After living in various Canadian cities, he settled in Toronto. “I enjoy the diversity of the society. There isn't any other city in Canada as diverse. I'm addicted to this multi-cultural society; I enjoy people from different countries.”
Premek has toured coast-to-coast as part of the Overture Concert Series, a division of the Canadian Artists Management Associates organization. He did repeat concert tours in regions like the Northwest Territories and the Yukon.
“Even as a six-year-old,” he says, “I dreamed of traveling the world and singing, seeing and experiencing different cultures.
“When you realize your passion, you are not willing to do anything else. There is no option but to figure out your business side, when you realize that this is your life's work. And fortunately there have always been people on my journey to help me.”
